The decisions by the SC today felt like physical body blows. I won’t lie that the thought “it’s over” entered my mind more than once. But then I remember the people who found the strength to live here for hundreds of years and fight for justice and equality as their own government and many of their fellow citizens were against them and blocking them at every turn.

We did not win independence and freedom from King George through peaceful protests - it took a revolution. We did not end slavery through peaceful protests - it took a civil war. Sadly, it is becoming ever so clear that we will not save our democracy through peaceful protests - will it take a revolution and reformation?

With all due respect, I don’t think that is clear - you don’t go from inaction to revolution. Let’s try peace first. Let’s try love and compassion first.

Inaction? Democrats have been trying peaceful action since the 1980's with no real success. The wealthy have become increasingly wealthy at the expense of the poor becoming more poor. Now, we are dealing with a loss of our Democracy and the constitution encourages and protects persons trying to preserve democracy through revolution and reformation. Love and compassion can't work against evil trump, musk, maga that are hell bent on destroying democracy and US residents. Love and compassion didn't save 6 million Jew and more people killed by Hitler or those killed by Stalin and Mussolini. WAKE UP!

Bad is the case about religious opt outs is, it is actually worse. I believe it will allow parents to pull their children out of evolution, science, and who knows what else. This is going to take away the educational baseline that we have somewhat enjoyed. It is already bad enough that totally unqualified parents can homeschool. To top it all off, the President of UVA resigned under pressure from Trump.
