Love, love , love this ECM. So true, loved the metaphor of leaving an abusive relationship to find and create a new life. It is so extremely difficult to leave a space we have imagined and worked for, and loved, to enter an unfamiliar life where each day is a new exploration to survive and eventually thrive. The same is true in our relationship with our country. We have grown up with all the cultural icons, events, celebrations we think we need to be patriots. And then everything we thought we knew is turned around ans upside down. Now we must create new relationships, coalitions, friendships and alliances to create and imagine a new country, something less familiar but better for us ALL. And that main ingredient is hope.......
Thank you for this Elizabeth...this is the reality we are all feeling, but not yet ready to accept -- I keep fighting and everyone around me agrees, but somehow the stares and glances are more hollow.

Thank you for another brilliant writing piece! ❤️
I truly love this, that's all I can say for now because there are so many powerful emotions running amok within me, so wow, just wow.
This was a wonderful way to start my Tuesday. I will live into the idea of a better future by letting go and putting in the work. Thank you.
As always, fabulous! Wish I had time to write more.
