I think I will have to do that sooner rather than later. I feel underwater physically and mentally but I keep forging onward certain it will get better. I had the night terrors during the pandemic and used to just get up. Now I can fuzz them out and get sleep. Halleluiah!

CPTSD survivor here, and it has been brutal since the calendar changed. That TFG physically resembles my abuser is not helpful.

And, I too am practicing a bit of what you suggest here, doing the bare minimum as I can. My job demands I immerse myself in this nonsense day in and day out, and I will see how long I last.

Thank you for your courage and your voice.

I take those radical pauses more frequently now. Americans and other global citizens concerned about rising fascism since trump came on the scene have been collectively traumatized with by the Bsnnon playbook of flooding the zone with shit. But reminder! Take a break. Others pick up the fight when you rest. It's a team sport to fight for democracy!!

Great idea, the Radical Pause. Thanks. I will use it as needed.

As a vocalist, who was singing in choirs since childhood, training for years taught me the need to take a breath at the right time-for me. A choir can sustain a note for far longer than one single individual can sustain on their own because each member takes a breath when they need to.

We are a choir, we all have our part, AND we all need to take a breath when we need.

I've had difficult times in my life that left me debilitated with night terrors and panic attacks, but nothing like I've experienced since trump became the illegitimate president. I keep my sanity through prayer, meditation, exercise and entertainment, especially outings with friends. Recently went to a comedy show where I laughed heartily for the first time in a long time - such a relief. I want to enjoy more massages leading up to the election - will be scheduling one during my birthday month of March.

I really love this piece. Last year after after non-stop bullying and threats of violence, I took my leave and did what I needed just to keep my head above water. Since the end of December, I came back in steady mode. I am moving forward and stepping forward to move through the fear one step at a time, using the tools I have a my disposal to continue to do all that I can to activate and motivate others to step forward, one step at a time and link arms in gentle strength. My favorite card in the tarot is the strength card.

From: Tarot for Beginners. Chamberlain, Lisa. "Composure and tranquility in adverse situations. The Strength card often appears when we are facing challenges that seem insurmountable, reassuring us that we have what it takes to persevere."
